Prospect Park Audubon Center: Birdwatching for Families

Spring migration turns Prospect Park into one of the best birdwatching spots on the East Coast — and the Audubon Center makes it accessible for families. Free weekend walks with naturalists identify warblers, thrushes, and raptors as they pass through Brooklyn. The Center loans out binoculars, and the staff is incredibly good with kids. Best in April and early May when migration peaks.
